Abstract:

This paper will examine the importance of Building Information Modelling tools in the design, analysis and fabrication of the hanging roof system at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas USA. These roof systems – character-defining elements of the project – were also one of the most challenging features to execute.
